Dattch Pick: Exhibition – Big Swinging Ovaries

Big Swinging Ovaries, a new solo art exhibition by Artist Jess de Wahls, showcases some amazing portraits of feminist icons, proving that feminism comes in all different shapes and sizes.
Using only upcycled clothing, these pieces are 3D, hand-sewn portraits of women like Frida Khalo, Vivienne Westwood and Beyonce. The exhibition intends to prove that you don’t have to look a certain way to be considered a feminist and things that might be considered worthless in our society, e.g. old clothes/women, actually do have value and can be put to better use than people might have thought.
fridaClear your diary for 8th March when the show opens, coinciding nicely with International Women’s Day and half of the proceeds will go to supporting TechMums.  The exhibition only runs for 11 days so make sure you don’t miss out.
