Dattch Pick: Sign Of Love Campaign

We’ve all heard about the terrible situation LGBTQ Russians are in right now as they’ve been banned from expressing the sexuality.  With the upcoming Olympics, the issue is of course on a lot of people’s minds and many people want to help affect change but aren’t sure what they can do.  Lush, the cosmetics company that make those amazing smelling bath bombs, have created a campaign with All Out that anyone and everyone could and should take part in.
“As part of our Sign of Love campaign, Lush are creating photo petition books which we will send to Russian embassies worldwide on the 14th February – the international day of love. Show your solidarity by uploading a photo of yourself painted with a pink triangle, using pink lipstick, then share your #SignofLove via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
The campaign has been going for a while but with Feb 14th getting closer, it’s time to give one last push to show some solidarity to the gay Russian community.  Our gorgeous friends in the London Rollergirls are backing this campaign too, so when you take your photos, be sure to tell everyone you know – maybe we should stock up on pink lipstick!  We’ll be sending in our snaps, will you?
While you’re deciding what to do for you pictures, check out this gorgeous and touching video made for the campaign:
