This week: for girls with a sweet tooth
Choccywoccydoodah – This one’s for the ladies who like to splash the cash. The cakes and nibbles might be a bit pricey but it’s fun to check out the Choccywoccydoodah goodies you might have seen on TV. If you make it a stop on a walking date, it won’t seem so expensive!
YAUATCHA – Another not-exactly-cheap place to go but super impressive and filled with exotic treats, YAUATCHA has what it takes to dazzle your date’s tastebuds. Their macaroon selection is a favourite amongst patrons and come highly recommended.
Gelupo – If you haven’t already tried it, Gelupo’s gelato is a great alternative to froyo or traditional ice cream, and their cute little deli in Soho becomes a real hot spot when Summer finally shows up. Affordable, refreshing and their chocolate sorbet is wickedly indulgent. Your date won’t soon forget the girl who gives her gelato.
Hummingbird Bakery – With five locations around London, you don’t have to travel to the ends of the Earth to enjoy the culinary delights Hummingbird have to offer. From American style cupcakes to brownies and whoopie pies, there’s something for everyone including a range of gluten free treats.
Lanka – A mix of Japanese style and French cuisine, Lanka is minimalist yet decadent with indulgent tarts and puffy pastries. The flavour combinations of green tea and fruits might be frightening but the prices are pretty reasonable for such exotic fare.
