HER x FOLX Care Fund 2023
  • At HER, we know that transgender and non-binary people are a gift to this world and the LGBTQ+ community at large. Whether you personally know or love a trans person or not, our siblings are under legislative attack and need our help. That is why this year, for Pride, we are partnering with FOLX Health to raise over $400,000 to protect access to trans healthcare via the FOLX Care Fund!

What is the FOLX Care Fund?

This year, FOLX Health has partnered with Black Trans Advocacy Coalition to raise over $400,000 to give 491 transgender people a year of free gender-affirming hormone therapy. In the  United States, over 500 anti-LGBTQ+ bills were introduced in 2023 that are currently making their way through state legislatures. Many of these bills aim to restrict healthcare, including access to life-saving medication, for transgender and non-binary people.

    How is HER getting involved?

To support this initiative, HER is donating a one-hour consultation with a dating app expert bundled with one free year of HER Premium! Whether you’re new to queer online dating or just a bit rusty, you can bid in the auction section of the Care Fund to win our exclusive package!

The auction will end on June 28th, 2023, with a live stream hosted by Alex Renee alongside other trans advocates and allies! Gifts for the auction currently include a meet and greet with Australian baddie G Flip plus concert tickets, books from Jeffrey Marsh and Schuyler Bailar, art from the Leslie Lohman Gallery, and more!

    Why should you donate?

There has been a rise in anti-trans legislation attempting to deny basic human rights to the trans community, including healthcare. We know that access to gender-affirming healthcare saves lives. Trans people deserve the right to feel joyous, relaxed, and euphoric in their bodies. Science has proven that trans people are 100% hotter and more fun to be around when they can access the care they need.

If you have been looking for a way to support the transgender and gender non-conforming community this year, consider donating to support trans futures and livelihood. Get involved and choose to be on the right side of history in this fight for LGBTQ+ rights today.

If you are trans and feeling isolated or disconnected from the LGBTQ+ community, download HER today to start making connections with other queer and trans people in your area.
