  • Pride season is here! And Brooklyn is kicking us off with the hottest line up we’ve seen. Get ready for your official Global Pride kick off and warm up for the Stonewall 50. We’ve got everything from sober socials to all night ragers to start your Pride season in style.

    THE HIGHLIGHT PARTY:

    The blowout you can not afford to miss. Hot Rabbit / Bad Habit are taking on Pride in their usual exxtra style at Lot 45 Bushwick. With performances by Jayse Vegas & Kat Cunning, Voguing by The House of Olympus and free haircuts by Hairrari Barbershop – you’ll be glad you spent every dollar on this party (and saved on a hair cut next week). Organiser Emily says “we have killer local DJs (including Mary Mac who tours with Madonna!), amazing performances and free haircuts! Bring your friends of all genders to this truly BROOKLYN style Pride party”

    THE KICK OFF PARTY:

    In a venue that’s queer as they come, Whitney Day is hosting the kick off party to rival the rest of your weekend. She’s here to help you “Kick off Brooklyn Pride weekend at a Queer owned & operated venue in Bushwick, with a huge dance floor, out door space and drink specials. The night features music by DJs Kandylion, Whitney Day & QRTR, plus dancers Bean & Tanya Karina, and other special surprises!“

    THE PARTY IN THE MUSEUM:

    Brooklyn’s beloved dance party centering on queer and trans people of color is hosting their BK Pride event at Brooklyn Museum. Enjoy sets from resident DJs Oscar Nñ and Adam R. with special guests Dee Diggs, Mazurbate, and Zenobia, plus drinks and curator tours of Nobody Promised You Tomorrow: Art 50 Years After Stonewall happening all night long.

    THE SOBER PARTY:

    In their own words: “This year, QSN celebrates Brooklyn Pride with an endless night of soup, drag and queer cinema!

    6:30-9pm, Chefs Blessing Schuman-Strange, Jenn de la Vega and Caroline McAuliffe will serve up piping hot bowls of their own creation, paired with breads from Bread Alone. Veggie, vegan, gf options always available. Soup service will continue all evening. We will not run out of soup! No tix or RSVP required. Just show up!

    9pm, the party moves to the theater for a drag performance and screening of queer cult classic, But I’m a Cheerleader. We’ll be joined by the film’s director, Jamie Babbit. TiCKETS ARE required for the movie.” Did you hear that – meet the director of But I’m a Cheerleader. See ya there queers.

    TWILIGHT PARADE

    SATURDAY, JUNE 8th at 7:30pm
    The parade starts around Lincoln Place and ends at 9th St. & 5th Avenue and steps off promptly at 7:30pm.
