The ladies of the U.S Women’s National Team are not only World Cup Champions, but they are also some of the greatest tomboys. Whether it’s their style or killin’ it on the field, this group of ladies knows what they are doing. With 23 players on the team, there are a lot of different personalities and style choices. I picked a handful of players whose style most inspires me.
Abby Wambach, the forward and star of the U.S team, has a sleek tomboy style! Abby has such an amazing sprit that really brings the team together. Plus, Wambach looks good on and off the field, whether she shows off her rad hair or rocks a nice suit.
Megan Rapinoe aka “Pinoe” a midfielder of the team has style that expresses her personality perfectly. Pinoe has this amazing confidence and happiness that radiates off of her and it shows in her style. She is also a part of the clothing company Wildfang and can be seen in their “Welcome to the Family” video.
Ashlyn Harris is one of the goalies for the team. Though this lady didn’t get to show off her skills during this year’s World Cup, she did show off her killer style! She never fails at looking good, whether she is at an event, caught by the paparazzi, or just posting on Instagram. Ashlyn has said she expresses herself through her tattoos and through the clothes she wears.
Ali Krieger, “The Warrior,” is a defender of the U.S team. Krieger says “deep down, I’m really girly,” but she also has an awesome tomboy style. She is a fearless and strong person. Ali’s spirit shines through her playing, her smile, and definitely shows through her style!
Tobin Heath, a midfielder for the U.S, team has a super carefree personality and style. She is a player who is both fierce and playful on the field. Tobin is a surfer and skater, as well as a soccer star, which shows in her sense of style. Tobin’s style just seems effortless and always looks good!
