IT’S PRIDE! Our annual opportunity to ask ourselves ‘Where do all these people spend the rest of the year?!’ This is our time to march, to protest, to party, to love and to celebrate. We’ve pulled together a handy guide of all the events you might want to check out over the weekend, from the can’t-miss party to the marches to the sober events.
WE. ARE. BACK. HER Seattle returns to host the largest party for queer womxn and people of Seattle. Jasmine and Carmen work together as a couple making it a point to provide a platform prioritizing local QTPoC artists, entertainers, and community leaders. DJ Mixx America and DJ Lady Jane will be spinning all night, gogo dancers, a special drag kings show, and a local musician will be coming home to perform with her partner (both from OITNB). Don’t miss out because it’ll be a party like you’ve never experienced before – transporting people out of Seattle and into a castle where everyone is treated as royalty.
Make your way down to the Kremwerk and Timbre instituion for a drag extravaganza. With DJs Bezier (Honey Soundsystem), Overland, T.Wan
Pride: Bézier [Honey Soundsystem], Princess Superstar, Larry Tee and Paradox Rei you’ll be there to dance all night. But make sure you don’t miss the early show, some of the best drag performances from Kings (ft. Paradox Rei) and
Seattle’s strongest community for celebrating QTBIPOC is here for a huge Pride party to close out the decade. With 11hrs of life-giving queer magic, DJs include Stas The Boss, Kween Kay$ha, Heavy Pleasure and DELISH DA GODESS. As always, if you are not queer, and are not accompanied by a queer person, please find another party to attend. If you are white, please be aware of the space you are in and the people it is for and put your money into the pockets of bipoc artists.
