From secret parties to yogi gatherings, Meetup has been one of the best platforms to meet similar groups of like-minded lezzies from your area. There’s literally something for everyone but how do you know which ones are actually active. How do you know where – Tuscon, Chandler or Phoenix- is the best place to meet women? And which Meetup is actually going to have some great bae’s for you to meet? In celebration of our Arizona launch, we’ve pulled together a special post on the best Meetups in Arizona.

The Vibe: This is a great group with a really active and diverse range of people as well as events. From Cosmic Bowling to Indoor Skydiving, this is your Meetup if you like meeting new people in unusual and exciting places. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, Lezfinity gets large groups of women in one place for a bit of social, a bit of activity, and a bit of inspiration.
The Community: Women from their 20s-50s hit these meet ups (with a few more women on the younger side) and you can get anything from 15-30 women per event. Which in our minds, makes a PARTY.

The Vibe: These meet ups are all about supporting local businesses in Arizona. If it’s fun and local, they’re into it. They also try to support exciting and original activities that take place throughout the valley. If it’s cheap and free they’re there – a group after our own hearts.
The Community: Members are men and women throughout the Valley who are gay, straight, bisexual and trans. Meet ups vary in size but average about 15 individuals each time. The group is called Open Doors, which means they don’t shut the doors on anyone! For them, it’s all about being young at heart.
Next Event: Brunch at Welcome Chicken + Donuts (We may not be from Arizona but Chicken AND Donuts… these guys know how to plan an event!)

Name: The Phoenix Lesbian Soiree

The Vibe: Activities and events for those that know they enjoy the finer things in life. From fine dining with wine, to cultural festivals, to movie nights, art exhibits and theatre nights, this is a chance to connect with single or coupled women over some high-brow soirees.
The Community: We like this team for being a bit more specific with their age group. 30-45 is the key focus for The Phoenix Lesbian Soiree as they’ve found that women within similar age groups tend to have similar things in common. We couldn’t agree more.

The Vibe: It’s an alcohol-free Meetup! To celebrate meeting women (not in a bar), these ladies meet every single Friday at the same venue – 1 Voice Community Center – for Friday games, discussions, special guests and LGBT themed movies.
The Community: It looks to be a total mix of ages at this one. Although the group has a lot of women in their younger years (we’re talking 20s and 30s here) most attendees seem to be slightly older. The registration suggests about 5 women per event, but as it’s a regular event we think there’s bound to be lot more footfall once you’re there.

Name: BUMP-Phx – A Women’s Party

The Vibe: Open to women and the trans community in Phoenix, this is an ‘inter-generational’ Meetup crew. Each meet up centers around a Hot Flash Dance – women of all sexualities come together to simply dance. Music from across the years is used as the social lubricant to meet other great women. It’s oldskool music from 5:30pm – 7pm, moving into Dance and 80s as the night carries on.
The Community: Mainly women in their 30s and 40s for this one, but it is open to everyone over the age of 21. You can expect about 10-15 women per Meetup.
