Willie Norris started his design campaign with one promise, “to create clothes for queer bodies by a queer designer” what more could you ask for? A brand that has literally been created for the queer community, representing diverse identities, bodies, personalities in all the ways we should be in 2019. It seems like the rest of the world needs to catch up with this icon, because Norris is paving the way for a radically queer fashion wave.

Starting with the kickstarter #PROMOTEHOMOSEXUALITY which exceeded its initial fundraising goal, to being the talk of the town with their Pride show at La Mama Galleria in New York. From the apparel to the models, all of the show was radically inclusive and the people were unapologetic about who they are. Norris’s clothes allow queer people to come out, stay out and shout out who they are without holding anything back.

This brand appears during a time when the LGBTQ+ community is being attacked, scrutinized and attempting to be put in a box. And also at a time when LGBTQ+ people are expressing themselves freely and showing that they will not ever be silenced. Norris is changing the game and we cannot wait to see more of what he does.
